Guests Charter updated for handling the Coronovirus.
Guests Charter
This is to let you know what we are doing to reassure you about our handling of the current situation and ensure that you have a happy and safe stay at The Pigsty or the Hovel
Firstly, we are ensuring that the property will be cleaned and sanitised to the Covid Ready Guidelines from PASC UK, the AA and Visit England. We have also completed a course produced in association with the above called “ The Landlords Little Helper”. We have produced a Risk Assessment that covers all aspects of our business and this can be seen on our website and in the back of your welcome file when you arrive.
We want to avoid entering your space during your stay. If there is something that needs our attention we will try to fix that remotely or ask you to leave while we do.
On arrival, the cottages will be open and ready for you and the cleaned keys will be in the cottage. Please try not to arrive before 4 pm so that we can complete the enhanced cleaning under the cleaning protocols.
We ask that you socially distance from other guests and visitors to the gardens, especially relevant with small children. Also be rigorous in following social distancing when out in public, the locals are understandably nervous, so far we have had very little of this virus in Bala.
By the way we are happy to do any grocery shopping for you.
If you show any signs of having the virus then you can immediately go home, or you can get tested by contacting https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing-and-tracing/get-an-antigen-test-to-check-if-you-have-coronavirus/. You can ask for a test kit to be sent here or drive to whichever test location they can provide to you.
The result must be shown to us. If positive, you will need to leave if any Member of your party can drive you. If that is not possible and you have to self-isolate here, then you will have to pay for all bookings that have to be cancelled as a result. We recommend checking on, or taking out travel insurance before your trip.
Arrival time is now from 4 pm to allow us time for the extra routines and checkout is still 10 am but rather less flexible. Although you are welcome to stay on in the garden or cafe.
We will need you to provide your names, telephone numbers and email addresses so that we can pass this onto the NHS if it is required. This information will not be used for any other purpose. This must be provided at the point of arrival or before.
We will be gathering all the information we can about where you can go out to eat, booking in advance will be critical, as there will be limited capacity at Restaurants and Pubs. Take-Aways may need advance orders to allocate collection slots. We will include Attractions too.
