The Pig-Sty

Situated in the grounds of Caerau Gardens, a charming and unusual bolt hole for a couple to stay in. With under-floor heating, a Sauna and a large screen and projector! The surroundings are stunning we even have a lake for fishing, swimming or perhaps kayaking, we provide a rowing boat and kayak.

The space
Sauna and cinema system with large pull down screen and superb acoustics,  we have some dvds but do connect your own devices via hdmi. Very comfortable large mattress accessable by ladder above sauna and under a velux window to the stars. Everything you need in a compact and stylish space. BBQ and seating area plus a new deck with more chairs and table overlooking the view. There is even a sunken trampoline outside your door! Guest access
A private lake for swimming, fishing or boating. 600 acres of surrounding countryside to explore and the use of our gardens and adventure playground. We can provide mountain bikes, we have a couple and we don’t charge! Also a kayak for the lake, fishing rods etc all very informal. More than just a bed for the night.

Other things to note
We are only a small set-up but we open the garden to the public in the main season from April until October when we run our cafe. We serve a full menu including much home made food, great coffee and cakes too, but generally just ask if you want something, maybe a meal in the pigsty in the evening?

We also have a really nice six berth caravan which is located in a wonderful spot high up above our garden.  It backs onto the wood where the adventure playground is, so it is fabulous for children.  We call this “ The Gatehouse”
